As of 01/01/2024, the new Greek Immigration Code has come into force (Law 5038/2003) with a view to fostering an investment friendly environment for foreign nationals. The categories of resedence permits for investment activity have been revised accordingly. These permits are known as Type B permits.
BENEFICIARIES OF THE RESIDENCE PERMITS
The beneficiaries of these permits are third country nationals (non-Greek, non-EU nationals). Beneficiaries include spouses, their children under 21 years old and the parents of the applicants as well as the parents of the spouse.
TYPES OF INVESTMENT PERMITS
Type B.1: Residence Permit for Strategic Investors.
Type B.2: Residence permit for investment through establishment of a business (Investment threshold of 500k EUR).
Type B.3: Residence permit for company executives (500k EUR threshold).
Type B.4: Residence permit for investment in real estate (400k EUR - 800k EUR thresholds).
